Many of you know Coolfire for producing in both commercial and television but over the last year we've also been experimenting with shorter, snack-sized digital series intended for specific, niche audiences online. One recent example of this is our work with Build-A-Bear for an adventure series called Bearville Alive! It's a new online entertainment series that lives on Build-A-Bear's YouTube channel and website.
At first glance, the series resembles a show fueled by the imagination and whim of children but behind the scenes it is a carefully constructed, data-driven content programming loop. Each episode is carefully analyzed by an in-house digital team to track individual retention and viewing habits. This in-house approach allows us to produce and create smarter, stickier digital content with each episode! The series features introductions to new Build-A-Bear characters, music videos, craft projects and much more with new episodes released every week.
YouTube recently launched a new app for Android and iOS called YouTube Kids, which features popular, curated content from across YouTube that meets their standards for children’s entertainment. The app is a fenced in digital playground, where parents don't have to worry about their kids stumbling onto inappropriate content or ads. Content creators currently in the application include: Dreamworks, Jim Henson TV, Sesame Street, and National Georgraphic Kids to name a few. We are excited that Bearville Alive! will be a part of this as well!
We are extremely proud to see our work with Build-A-Bear included in this new endeavor and are very excited to see the effect of this application within the larger scope of digital content!
